Captain Kathryn Janeway

SHORT CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:
Kathryn Janeway (played by actress Kate Mulgrew) was a 24th century Starfleet officer, most noted for her service as captain of the starship USS Voyager. She became the first Federation captain to successfully traverse the Delta Quadrant, encountering dozens of new planets and civilizations over the course of seven years. While there, she and her crew also survived numerous encounters with the Borg. By 2379, she was a Vice Admiral at Starfleet Command.

Chakotay

SHORT CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:
Chakotay (played by actor Robert Beltran) was a 24th century Starfleet officer and former Maquis member, best known as first officer under Captain Kathryn Janeway aboard the USS Voyager. In 2371, while Starfleet was trying to capture him in the Badlands, he and his Maquis crew were pulled into the Delta Quadrant by the Caretaker's array and forced to merge with the crew of the Voyager during its seven-year journey home. Before serving as Voyager's first officer, he had resigned from Starfleet after years of service in order to join the Maquis to defend his home colony.

SHORT CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:
Tuvok (played by actor Tim Russ) is a Vulcan and best known as the tactical officer aboard the USS Voyager. He served in this post for the seven years that Voyager was stranded in the Delta Quadrant. Tuvok also served under Hikaru Sulu aboard the USS Excelsior.

SHORT CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:
Seven of Nine (played by actress Jeri Ryan) was a Human female and a former Borg drone. She was born Annika Hansen in 2350, the daughter of eccentric exobiologists Magnus and Erin Hansen. She was assimilated by the Borg in 2356 at age six, along with her parents, but was liberated by the crew of the USS Voyager in 2374. She joined the crew and returned to the Alpha Quadrant with the starship in 2378.

Doctor

SHORT CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY:
"The Doctor" (played by actor Robert Picardo) was the name given by the crew of the Federation starship USS Voyager to their Emergency Medical Hologram (alternatively abbreviated as "EMH"). The EMH Mark I, of which the Doctor was an example, was a computer program with a holographic interface in the form of a Human male doctor. Although this program was specifically designed to function in emergency situations only, the Doctor on the USS Voyager was forced to become the ship's doctor on a full-time basis. Prolonged use resulted in the Doctor developing emergent behavior and growing beyond his original programming.

Neelix (played by actor Ethan Phillips) was a Talaxian male born on Rinax who became a merchant, shortly after the Haakonians launched an attack on Rinax resulting in the death of his entire family. Neelix joined the USS Voyager after it was stranded in the Delta Quadrant. He primarily served as chef, morale officer, ambassador, and navigator. Neelix departed the USS Voyager shortly before its return to the Alpha Quadrant.

Kes (played by actress Jennifer Lien) was an Ocampan female that was liberated from captivity by the crew of the USS Voyager. She joined the crew as a nurse, training alongside The Doctor. Over time she developed telekinetic abilities but lacked the ability to control them, forcing her to leave the USS Voyager.

Icheb (primarily played by actor Manu Intiraymi) was a young Brunali male who was one of five immature Borg drones released from Borg maturation chambers after a virus killed all adult drones aboard the cube they were serving on in 2376. He was given the designation of "Second", as he could not control the other drones, even though he was the eldest among them. After a failed attempt to capture the USS Voyager, the adolescent drones were adopted by the crew of Voyager.
