	PLAYED BY: Peter Dennis SPECIES: Human Male He contacted Captain Janeway while her ship, USS Voyager, was stuck in the Delta Quadrant. Among the topics they caught up on with each other were the Voth. He commented on how he knew she'd go far, which Janeway replied "A little farther then I expected, professor". He then went on to talk about the real reason he contacted her, that Voyager was in the vicinity of where Starfleet Command believed the 21st century probe Friendship 1 was. He assigned her Voyager's first mission in seven years, to retrieve the probe.
	PLAYED BY: Bari Hochwald SPECIES: Uxali Female Prior to Voyager's arrival, Brin was pregnant three times - twice with a boy and once with a girl. However, due to the effects of the radiation, all three were stillbirths. Lieutenant Tom Paris, whom the Uxali were holding hostage, helped deliver her baby but it too suffered radiation poisoning. Fortunately for her, with the help of The Doctor, the baby was later cured. When Kathryn Janeway came up with a plan to disperse the radiation on the surface, the leader of the Uxali, Verin, did not believe her and planned to fire antimatter weapons at Voyager. The new mother pulled a weapon, and along with others who had seen that her baby was cured deposed the leader and accepted Voyager's help.
	PLAYED BY: John Prosky SPECIES: Uxali Male When the probe crashed on his planet it released antimatter that poisoned the air and caused a nuclear winter. He accepted the USS Voyager's plan to rid the planet of the radiation, and took over the leadership of his people when its leader, Verin refused to listen to reason. Voyager was able to reverse the effects of the radiation.
	PLAYED BY: Ken Land SPECIES: Uxali Male Verin was leader of the Uxali, a species whose planet had been contaminated by the consequences of the information shared in an Earth probe called Friendship 1. That information caused the civilization to develop antimatter power generation. The explosion of an antimatter plant caused radiation sickness and a nuclear winter. When the USS Voyager attempted to recover the probe, Verin took the away team hostage. He demanded that his people be relocated to another planet. When Janeway suggested an alternate plan, he killed Lt. Carey. As he prepared to fire a missile at Voyager he was deposed as leader by Otrin, who accepted Voyager's plan.
	PLAYED BY: Ashley Edner SPECIES: Uxali Female She met Tom Paris, Neelix and Joseph Carey in 2378 when they were taken hostage by the Uxali. Paris gave her a small toy that played The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi when pressed. She was the first to notice that her ravaged homeworld had been restored to a healthier state by the crew of the USS Voyager.
