Dan Curry: "When I was a boy my mother gave me a book on the history of weapons by Edwin Tunis. And I remembered all those early drawings of the early cave weapons and stuff like that. So when this episode came along it gave me the opportunity to kind of delve into those childhood memories and design some vicious but practical things that would be wielded by this primitive people."
   
 

     

   
Dan Curry: "So, because of a childhood interest in this, growing up watching adventure movies and a childhood interest in various weapons and historical periods, it gave me the background that from memory and using my own imagination come up with weapons that seem appropriate for the primitive technology of those people."
