	The Enterprise two-parter Affliction and Divergence actually explains the reason why the Original Series-era Klingons do not have cranial ridges. The Empire was infected by a dangerous airborne virus that was a mutated form of genetically engineered human DNA. Considering that the Klingon ship in this episode left the homeworld around that period in time, before this issue was rectified, these Klingons should not have cranial ridges.
	How could a Klingon D-7 cruiser fire while cloaked? The only Klingon vessel from that time period, of the Khitomer Accords, capable of doing that was the one featured in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and it was the only one in existence. That vessel was the more modern Bird Of Prey and years ahead of the D-7 featured here.
