Commander William Riker is a noted Starfleet officer. He is

SPECIES: Q
Q himself was touched by Quinn's dedication and beliefs – Quinn
had previously been an admirer of Q's, because of Q's propensity
to stir controversy and cause disorder – and actually provided
Quinn with the means with which to commit suicide. Q resolved to
return to some of his old habits, and to encourage the Continuum
to allow more chaos in their own order. |

SPECIES: Q
Quinn made a plea for political asylum to Captain Kathryn
Janeway. A courtroom hearing took place aboard Voyager to
determine if asylum should be granted. Lieutenant Tuvok served
as his defense. He stated that he was sick of immortality. There
was nothing left for him to explore, his life was pointless, and
a torturous bore. Q tried to prove the worth of Quinn's life by
calling witnesses such as Isaac Newton, Maury Ginsberg and
William T. Riker, pointing out how Quinn had affected their
lives for the better. |

SPECIES: Human Male
In his lifetime, Newton once encountered the man later known as
Quinn. Quinn was sitting under the tree the day the
apple fell on his head. As it happened, Quinn had jostled
the tree when he got up to leave, just before the apple fell. As
a result, a new era in Human science was born. |

Maury Ginsberg
SPECIES: Human Male
Maury Ginsberg was a spotlight operator at the famous Woodstock
music festival in New York on Earth in 1969. He hitched a lift
to the concert and noticed a disconnected cable that could have
ruined the concert. He was not aware that the man who drove him
there was the member of the Q Continuum later known as Quinn. |
