	In the novelization of this episode, Tuvok again melds with Janeway, to allow her to see the results of Excelsior's battle at Khitomer, including Tuvok's accompanying Sulu to the peace conference and stopping the assassination attempt, as well as a conversation Tuvok had with Sulu and Spock before the Excelsior left the Enterprise-A behind.
	Tuvok states he joined Starfleet due to pressure from his parents. Logic prevails.
	The plasma manifolds have a surge and burn Neelix's meal he prepared for Tuvok; yet when Janeway calls them both from the galley he leaves the food on the burner unattended and makes no effort to cut it off.
	This episode, along with the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode, "Trials and Tribblations" was done in honor of the 30th anniversary of Star Trek.
	Tuvok states that there are other Vulcans on Voyager, however up to this point, none of them have been shown on this series.
