He was a chief operative of the Nyrians, and was the first to
arrive on Voyager. He pretended that he did not know how
he got there. He said that he was abducted, but was in reality
using a translocator to take the place of the crew and transport
them to an environment biosphere on the Nyrian ship. |

His people were being held captive in a desert environment
which was similar to the habitat on their homeworld. He was able
to get in contact with the crew of USS Voyager through one of
the portals between different habitats. He wished to trade with
the crew and explained that the previous inhabitants were not
much for bartering. He told them that the former inhabitants had
died from a plague. |

When he was transported to the ship he pretended he did not
know what was happening, and offered to help B'Elanna Torres
find a solution. This help him gain access to the engine room.
Torres conducted a tetryon scan of the area against the
scientist's objections. In order to stop her from discovering
the truth, Rislan struck a security guard, stole his phaser, and
transported Torres to a prison colony. |

She assisted Dammar in taking over USS Voyager by transporting
the ship's crew into the biosphere. She was in charge of the
captives that were transport to the biosphere ship. She gave the
crew of Voyager instructions on how to live as captives and what
they could do and could not do. She explained that the Nyrians
expand their civilization by switching places with the crews of
ships,and transport the crews to an artificial environment drawn
from the victims' own databases. |

Lang was temporarily promoted to chief of security after a
majority of the Voyager crew had been translocated to the Nyrian
biosphere vessel. She later was in command of the starship after
Chakotay left the bridge. While in command, she coordinated with
two of the remaining twelve crewmembers that they had to prevent
the Nyrians from capturing the bridge. Seconds later, several
Nyrians stormed the bridge and Lang stunned two of them, before
she was, herself, stunned. She was subsequently transported to
the biosphere ship, where she was imprisoned with the rest of
the crew. |
