SPECIES: Borg
'First' and his group had captured USS Voyager officers Tom
Paris, Chakotay and Neelix, and were holding them hostage in
exchange for Voyager's deflector dish. Seven of Nine tried
to explain to 'First' that he and the Borg children were not
going to be rescued by the Borg, since their distress signal
was ignored. 'First' became so enraged that he tried to kill
Seven, but was stopped by the other children.
'First' refused to evacuate the cube when its power
induction grid became unstable. He was electrocuted and died
when he attempted to fix it. His last words were the Borg
mantra "We are Borg," to which Seven responded: "yes we
are." |

SPECIES: Brunali Male (Borg)
He was given the
designation of "Second", as he could not control the other
drones, even though he had emerged first from the maturation
chamber. When Seven of Nine first encountered him on the Borg
vessel, Icheb did not have much of a memory of his past and his
family, even though he could remember selected information about
them, such as his mother's hair color. Even though Icheb was
"Second" in command, he eventually asserted himself against the
"First" who had established a hierarchy on board the vessel,
controlling everyone and even going so far as to attempt to
capture USS Voyager.
After these attempts failed, four of the five adolescent drones
were adopted by the crew of Voyager. The Doctor was able to
remove most of their implants and the four adolescents began a
period of re-integration while on board Voyager. Seven, who
initially questioned whether they could be transformed into
individuals, took it upon herself to help them on their journey.
She began tutoring Icheb and the others, trying to help them
adjust to life outside the Collective.

SPECIES: Norcadian Female (Borg)
In
2376, at the age of eight, the Borg cube she was aboard was
disabled by a pathogen that killed all the adult drones. She
and four other young drones were disconnected from the
Collective. They captured the Delta Flyer with Chakotay, Tom
Paris, Harry Kim, and Neelix on board. The five Borg
children demanded USS Voyager's deflector array in exchange
for the hostages. The deflector array would have allowed
them to contact the Borg, but would have left Voyager unable
to go to warp.
Seven of Nine discovered that the Borg had received a distress
call from the cube, but had determined the children to be
irrelevant and had not dispatched any other ships to reconnect
them to the hive mind. After the children realized this, they
decided to leave the cube.

SPECIES: Wysanti Male (Borg)
Azan was one of the four Borg children
rescued by the USS Voyager in 2376. He and his twin brother,
Rebi, had been assimilated by the Borg several years
previously. After the Borg cube he was on was disabled by a
pathogen, he and the other children were taken on board
Voyager where former Borg drone Seven of Nine helped him to
regain his individuality. |
