PLAYED BY:
Kaitlin Hopkins
SPECIES: n/aUsing this
deception, she and her partners Mobar and Zar were able to move
from star system to star system offering services for different
goods from the various races, but not delivering what they
promised. Since USS Voyager and Janeway were being blamed,
Janeway believed that in order to make things right she and the
crew of Voyager had to stop Dala.
Dala and one of her partners were posing as monks, when they met
Neelix and Tom Paris while they were on an away mission. They
downloaded the database from the Delta Flyer, which provided
them with information about Voyager and its crew so they could
pose as Janeway and Tuvok. They then stole ten kilotons of
bolomite from the Telsian miners and committed other scams.
After Dala was captured by Voyager, she refused to tell the
location of the stolen property. Janeway allowed Dala to escape,
and she led them to her partners. The Doctor assumed her
identity and tricked them into revealing the location of the
stolen property. Dala was handed over to the authorities. |

but not delivering what they promised. Eventually, USS Voyager
caught up with the three and captured them, returning everything
they stole.
Mobar took quite a liking to Tuvok and his Vulcan mannerisms –
going so far as to remain in character even when just among his
fellow con artists – and felt privileged when he met the real
Tuvok. When faced with a stand-off of drawn phasers with the
real Tuvok, Mobar commented that "logic would indicate" that
neither had the advantage. Tuvok, unamused by Mobar's sendup of
Vulcan behavior, promptly blinded him with the beam of a SIMs
beacon and phasered him. |

SPECIES: n/aIn 2376, he was
contacted by three people claiming to be Starfleet officers, a
Captain Janeway, Commander Chakotay, and Lieutenant Tuvok. He
wasn't aware that these were actually the thieves, Dala, Zar,
and Mobar. After they gave him a tour of their ship, the Delta
Flyer, they offered him membership into a scam Federation. They
showed him the impressive weaponry the mother ship, USS Voyager,
had, including photon torpedoes, optronically-targeted phasers,
multi-spectrum deflector shielding. They told him that the
Federation is a family, and that they'd gladly help him fight
his enemies. They claimed they had to leave for a six-month
mission, so he paid an admission fee to join quickly.
However, he learned he had been scammed when he found that the
photon torpedoes they sold him were just empty casings, and
didn't affect his enemies, who had also bought a Federation
membership.
As reimbursement, he decided to take the false Delta Flyer for
himself. However, at just that time the real USS Voyager dropped
out of warp near by. He threatened to fire on them, but before
they could tell him he'd been mislead, he fired at their tractor
beam emitters. Voyager quickly disabled Varn's ship, and went
after the impostor Delta Flyer. |

SPECIES: Telsian Male
In 2376, he was away on a business trip to
the Grenna system while a group of impostors impersonated the
crew of the USS Voyager stole ten kilotons of Bolomite from the
mine. Dala and Mobar claimed they'd trade them Dilithium for it,
but ran off with the Bolomite claiming an neutronic storm had
forced them to leave orbit.
He later went aboard Voyager, claiming that it was Captain
Janeway that had performed the deal, where as she explained it
wasn't her. He threatened to report them to Telsian security,
but Janeway and Tuvok were able to come to a compromise with
him. |
