PLAYED BY: Jeff Yagher
SPECIES: Hologram

As one of Donik's creations, Iden was capable of learning and improving his abilities with each hunt. He was the favorite prey of his Alpha, but after repeated violent "deaths" at his Alpha's hands, Iden was able to kill him. He stole a ship and liberated the other holograms on their space station. Using this ship, Iden attacked and liberated more stations, resulting in heavy Hirogen casualties.

One such liberation drew the attention of the USS Voyager, after Donik sent out a distress signal. A Hirogen ship arrived shortly afterwards and insisted that the holograms be destroyed. As Voyager gave chase, Iden ordered that The Doctor be "liberated" from them, and his program was transferred to Iden's ship. Iden required The Doctor's help in repairing malfunctions in some of the other holograms.

He was successful in convincing The Doctor to help him. Captain Janeway refused to provide the help they needed, so The Doctor transported himself to Iden's ship. Iden then kidnapped B'Elanna Torres so she could help finish the generator.

Initially, Iden seemed to be reasonable, but he quickly developed a messiah complex, believing that the other holograms should form a new religion around him. He attacked and destroyed a Nuu'Bari ship, taking three holograms from them, despite the fact that those holograms were mindless tools, capable of only basic tasks.

PLAYED BY: Ryan Bollman
SPECIES: Hirogen Male

Donik was a young Hirogen technician who was rescued by the USS Voyager when the holograms led by Iden rebelled in 2377.

When Voyager answered his distress call, Donik warned them to stay away. He fired his weapon at them, before Tuvok sneaked up behind Donik and rendered him unconscious with a nerve pinch. Donik had lost a lot of blood, so he was beamed to sickbay. He was the only survivor of the hologram attack. After being beamed to sickbay, Donik informed Captain Kathryn Janeway that he was on a training exercise when the holograms malfunctioned and took over the exercise, removed the safety protocols and attacked the hunters.

At first he was afraid that the crew of Voyager were holograms. Donik told Janeway that he modified the holograms under his Alpha's orders to make them formidable prey and to make them self-aware. After other Hirogen ships arrived, he was a go-between for the Hirogen and Voyager in an attempt to stop the holograms.

PLAYED BY: Michael Wiseman
SPECIES:
Hirogen Male

This Hirogen Beta served aboard the Hirogen vessel that responded to the distress call from the Hirogen training facility overrun by renegade holograms.

PLAYED BY: Cindy Katz
SPECIES: Hologram

Kejal was one of the intelligent holograms created by Hirogen engineer Donik to serve as prey for their holographic training simulations. She was modeled after a Cardassian. She was later liberated by Iden who named her Kejal after the Bajoran word for "freedom".

PLAYED BY: Spencer Garrett
SPECIES: Hologram

Weiss was one of the intelligent holograms created by Hirogen engineer Donik to serve as prey for their holographic training simulations.

PLAYED BY: Vaughn Armstrong
SPECIES:
Hirogeb Male

This Alpha commanded a Hirogen vessel that responded to a distress call from a Hirogen training facility where all but one of the Hirogen had been attacked and killed by holograms from Iden's Rebellion. When he discovered Voyager responding to the distress call as well, he initially demanded that they leave but later agreed to work with them to locate the hologram's vessel.

PLAYED BY: Paul S. Eckstein
SPECIES: Hologram

After the death of his Alpha, this Beta Hirogen assumed the title of Alpha and resumed the hunt for the renegade holograms. He was much less agreeable than his predecessor and blamed Donik for the deaths of the Hirogen at the training facility and the Voyager for having given them what he believed to be faulty holographic technology.

Accordingly, he was also more reluctant to work with the Voyager crew in locating the holograms. After the hologram threat was neutralized, the new Alpha told Captain Kathryn Janeway that she and her crew would have made worthy prey.

PLAYED BY: Todd Jeffries
SPECIES:
Hirogen Male

In 2377, this Hirogen Hunter hunted holograms on a training facility where Donik served. He apparently served as a mentor for younger Hirogen hunters. When the facility was raided by member of Iden's Rebellion, he took a younger hunter (see below) and attempted to track the holograms. They were both killed soon after, however, along with forty-one other Hirogen.

PLAYED BY: Don McMillan
SPECIES: Hirogen Male

This Hirogen hunter ruthlessly hunted holograms at one of the Hirogen training facilities. One of the holograms he hunted later became part of Iden's Rebellion and their memory files of being hunted by this Hirogen where transferred by Iden and Kejal to The Doctor's program to show him how they had suffered at the hands of the Hirogen.

PLAYED BY: Chad Halyard
SPECIES: Hirogen Male

This young hunter accompanied an elder hunter in tracking renegade holograms which had infiltrated their facility. Both were killed by Weiss and other holograms when they were ambushed.
