	PLAYED BY: David Lee Smith SPECIES: n/a He developed a fondness for Kes and asked her to leave Voyager and travel with him. He takes Kes on a romantic walk and kisses her. The next day Kes asked Janeway for a leave of absence. Later Zahir was walking the same path when he was attacked by a cloaked figure who knocked him off a cliff seriously injuring him. It was later revealed that he was attacked by the Doctor who, in trying to enhance his program, had created a second, evil version of himself which had taken over the Doctor's program at some point. He had become insanely jealous of Kes' relationship with Zahir. With medical help from Voyager facilities, Zahir quickly recovered, but Kes decided to stay with Voyager.
	PLAYED BY: Stephen Davies SPECIES: n/a The Doctor's program malfunctioned because he overloaded his matrix with too many subroutines from historical figures, and he turned into an evil Hyde-like personality. He attacked Nakahn by dragging his hands into a fire. He then ordered Nakahn to get him a ship and safe passage off the planet. The Doctor also attacked Zahir, and Nakahn was suspected of the crime. Nakahn told Tuvok about the Doctor, enabling the Voyager crew to fix the malfunction.

	PLAYED BY: Susan Dalian SPECIES: Human Female She greeted the Doctor while she passed sickbay. The Doctor, who was at the time malfunctioning, began to follow Brooks as she made her way to the turbolift. Unknown to her at the time, as Brooks traveled aboard the turbolift to Deck 10, the Doctor stood behind her plotting his move of malcontent against her. Fortunately, Brooks was saved when Tom Paris entered the turbolift and unknowingly interrupted the Doctor's plans.
