SPECIES: Mari Male

He collided with B'Elanna Torres, after which he committed a violent act against another Mari. Torres had a violent thought towards Frane when he bumped into her, and this transferred to Frane, causing him to attack another person. As a result, Torres was arrested for violent thoughts, although it was discovered that Frane had had other incidents of violence.

PLAYED BY: Wayne Péré
SPECIES: Mari Male

He ran the black market trade of this violent images. When USS Voyager spent a few days in orbit of his homeworld, Guill, intrigued by the possibilities offered by the thoughts of Voyager''s more violent crewmembers, such as B'Elanna Torres, set up an incident where B'Elanna would be angered long enough for him to acquire some of her more violent thoughts. Although he briefly started to attack someone when the thought became too much for him, he was able to pass the thought on to others, causing at least one death and framing B'Elanna as the source, resulting in her being scheduled for a potentially brain-damaging engramatic purge. Tuvok, after a mind meld with Torres, saw the probing done by Guill, and investigated him. Under the pretense of selling Guill more violent thoughts, he mind melded with him, but instead of transferring violent images, he caused Guill great pain, the sheer intensity of a Vulcan's suppressed darker emotions proving too much for Guill to handle, forcing him to confess.

PLAYED BY: Gwynyth Walsh
SPECIES: Mari Female

Nimira was the Chief Examiner of the Mari, a race of telepathic beings whose society was almost free of violent crime. She was one of the last constabulary officers in this virtually crime-free society. She and Tuvok became friends. Both respected the way their respective societies eliminated violence. He asked her to visit USS Voyager, and she accepted.

PLAYED BY: Rebecca McFarland
SPECIES: Mari Female

She was a grocery vendor, and was killed by another Mari who had acquired hostile images and thoughts from B'Elanna Torres' mind due to Guill, a member of a telepathic 'black market' who dealt in violent images, the thought causing the woman's brief frustration when Talli dropped a fruit to escalate into a violent attack. Neelix was deeply affected by her death, having regarded Talli as the first woman he had developed any feelings for since Kes's departure, and asked Tuvok to ensure that her murderer was brought to justice, Tuvok assuring Neelix that he would do so.

PLAYED BY: Jeanette Miller
