	PLAYED BY: Musetta Vander SPECIES: Varro Female Tal was found hiding on USS Voyager who explained that many Varro felt imprisoned on the mother ship and wished to leave, and that a violent movement was forming to help those who wish to break away. The Varro ship and Voyager were infected with a synthetic virus that caused fractures in the ship's hull. Tal revealed that she developed the schematic for the virus, and that she was part of a dissent group that wished to dismantle the linkage that bound the segments of the Varro ship together. The segments which were separate ships could then stay or leave as they wished. When this had been accomplished, Tal said goodbye to Kim since the more time they spent together, the harder it was to part due to a chemical reaction called olan'vora.
	PLAYED BY: Charles Rocket SPECIES: Varro Male Jippeq and his people encountered the Federation starship USS Voyager, whose commanding officer, Kathryn Janeway, offered to help repair the Varro ship's warp drive. While the Voyager crew were repairing the Varro ship, Harry Kim had a sexual relationship with Derran Tal, a Varro engineer. Jippeq, who greatly distrusted outsiders, was outraged and made regular insulting remarks about Kim to Captain Janeway. During the repairs, microfractures were found on the ship's hull. It was revealed that a dissident group that of Varro who wished to leave the ship and go their separate ways had infected it with a silicon-based parasite. The parasite was eating away at the linkage holding together each segment of the ship. Jippeq refused to believe one of the Varro would willingly destroy the work of their people, but it turned out that Tal was behind it. Jippeq was outraged, and demanded that Tal get rid of the parasites. Tal refused, saying there were hundreds of Varro who wanted to break away. Once the linkage was broken, the generational ship broke off into separate sections. Jippeq had no choice but to allow the dissident Varro to take their ship and go their separate way.
	PLAYED BY: Christopher Liam Moore SPECIES: Varro Male He revealed that he was trying to get off the Varro generational ship and wanted asylum on USS Voyager. He said many Varro felt the same way as he did, that they are imprisoned on the ship and there are rumors of a violent movement to dismantle the ship.
